Enjoy one of the most iconic sights of the Southwest desert--the cactus wren claiming its territory among the beautiful, blooming Prickly Pear Cactus. I carved a low-relief scene of the bird and cactus, used earthy alcohol ink and ink dye coloring, and added a rim of natural rafia to complete this celebration of nature.
